Spring Trends: Pastels & Lace

Happy Wednesday! Introduce soft pastels and lace to your wardrobe this Spring. Nothing says Spring without a little pastel and lace, cute separates such as skirts, blouses, shorts and cropped pants would be great for everyday wear. I immediately think of Easter and Mother's Day when I see pastel colors, I guess dying eggs for Easter when I was younger kind of reminds me of the colors. The pastels and lace trend is so feminine and would be a great alternative to wearing normal to dark colors in the Spring/Summer months.

Will you introduce pastels and lace to your Spring Wardrobe this year?

First Impression: Mally Beauty

Happy Monday! I was sent a couple of Mally Beauty products to try and I'm sharing with you today my First Impression on the Mally Beauty Brand and I am also giving away two Mally Beauty products!!
I've heard of the Evercolor Poreless Face Defender but was always skeptical to purchase it because I have extremely oily skin and the thought of putting something that looked like wax on my face was out of the question. The Evercolor Poreless Face Defender is sheer and lightweight, it is made to diffuse the look of pores, minimize fine lines and protects your makeup so it will last from morning to night.

The Evercolor Poreless Face Defender comes in a sturdy compact with mirror and a huge wedge sponge. I was very impressed with that, most compacts are cheaply made but not this one. I would have liked it to have a place for the wedge sponge on the inside but you'll just have to carry that in your makeup bag alone. To apply this product, all you have to do is dab the wedge sponge in the product and just lightly pat it on your face in the areas that has shine or tend to get oily a lot.

The Evercolor Poreless Face Defender takes the place of finishing powder and gives you a matte look depending on your skin combination instead of a dry ashy look from powder. Like I said before, I have extremely oily skin and I was very impressed with the outcome because it took away the oil and gave me a dewy matte finish (if that makes sense) when I wore it with my foundation. I also wore it alone with no foundation because the product goes on clear and it still gave me a matte finish. The Evercolor Poreless Face Defender retails at Ulta for $40 and I would definitely say this product is a winner, I really like it!!
The next two products I tried were Mally High Shine Liquid Lipstick in Party Girl Pink and the Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner In Midnight.

The High Shine Liquid Lipstick is a high performance lipstick pen that's considered a 4-in-1 product that includes lip primer, lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner. It packs a lot of color with a high gloss just like lip gloss. The High Shine Liquid Lipstick goes on thick but really lasts a good amount of the day. It's a pretty thick lipstick pen, I clicked it twice to get the amount of lipstick I wanted for the day. This pen did not let me down, I like the packaging and the color Party Girl Pink is really pretty. It also retails at Ulta for $20 not bad for a quality 4-in-1 lip product.

The Mally Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner In Midnight is an eyeliner that goes on easy and literally lasts all day. The color is very dark and it does not smudge. It retails for $15 at Ulta, you can sharpen this eyeliner also.

See my swatches below for the High Shine Liquid Lipstick and The Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner.

This is my first time trying Mally Beauty products and I actually like everything that I was sent. I will be making more purchases from the Mally Brand in the near future. Here's a picture of me wearing the Evercolor Poreless Face Defender, High Shine Liquid Lipstick and the Evercolor Starlight Waterproof Eyeliner.

Good Earth Beauty Products

Happy Thursday!! I'm always on the hunt for natural and organic beauty products and I have found a great business that sells just that! Good Earth Beauty is an online business that sells unique beauty, bath & body and hair care products. All of they're products chosen are personally tested by their staff not on animals. Products that I have from Good Earth Beauty is the Pink Lemonade Lip Scrub and the Pink Lemonade Lip Balm.

These two lip products are awesome! The Pink Lemonade Lip Scrub smells just like lemonade the ingredients that make up this product are: sugar, organic sunflower oil, coconut and almond oil, organic shea butter and organic jojoba oil and flavor.

To exfoliate my lips, I dabbed a little lip srcub on a damp wash cloth and just went over my lips in a small circular motion, I let it sit on there for a few minutes then I washed it off with warm water. I did this right before bed...hence there's no pictures of this step because I was totally tired and just forgot to snap a few with my camera. However, the next day I decided to swatch it on the back of my hand so you could at least see the consistency of it. It's not greasy, oily or anything like that and it feels pretty good on your skin and lips.

The Pink Lemonade Lip Balm is what I used after the lip scrub.

The ingredients in the Pink Lemonade Lip Balm are: organic sunflower oil, organic shea butter, beeswax, organic cocoa butter and natural flavor oils. This lip balm comes in a convenient sized .25 oz tin and has a wonderful scent. It's not greasy but it has just enough oomph to soothe and moisturize your dry and chapped lips. To use this product, I simply used my ring finger to apply it to my lips.

The Pink Lemonade Lip Balm retails for $4.99 and The Pink Lemonade Lip Scrub retails for $6.99 which are great prices for natural and organic beauty products! Check out other products from Good Earth Beauty at www.goodearthbeauty.com.

My Love For It Cosmetics!

Happy Friday! It Cosmetics does it again with their awesome beauty products! A few items were sent to me to review and I must say that I’m in awe. The Hello Lashes Mascara is amazing, it’s a 5 in 1 treatment mascara that’s volumizing, a conditioning lash primer, a lash enhancing serum, a lash tint and a lash comb / curler.

It doesn’t fade or flake and the color is like a jet black its really dark. The triple brush lengthens and pretty much separates each lash hair. It’s also great because it has a ball detailer tip that designed to reach every little inner and outer corner lash. I wore this mascara for around 10 hours and I did not get any smudging my eyelashes looked great and definitely appeared longer. This particular mascara retails for $24 at Ulta or you can purchase at QVC and The Shopping Channel. I also love the packaging, the wand has a nice comfortable textured grip and the tube size is nice as well. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth with this product.
The Brow Power Waterproof Perfector is a clinically proven 5 in 1 powder gel pencil which means it’s a 12 hour waterproof brow pencil, brow fill in powder, taming brow gel, brow enhancing conditioner and it has cool little brow brush on the opposite end.
This little dual brow pencil is just what I needed but unfortunately it’s not my eyebrow color. I received it in blonde, which is way too light for my dark brows, but I love the concept of this brow perfector. It would cut out so many steps I do daily to achieve my eyebrow look. I will definitely purchase this in the near future in the color I need, which would be Dark Brown. It retails for $24 at Ulta or you can purchase at QVC and The Shopping Channel.
The Vitality Lip Flush 4-in-1 Reviver is an anti-aging lip balm, lipstick, lip gloss and lip stain. It’s made to hydrate lips instead of drying them out which is awesome! The Vitality Lip Flush contains plum and cherry oil, shea butter, argan and jojoba, aloe, green and white tea and vitamins A, C, E that work together to condition, treat and nourish lips minimizing the appearance of lip lines and wrinkles. I wear this lip balm under my lipstick to protect my lips from this harsh wintery weather we’re having here in North Carolina. When wearing this lip flush my lips do feel more hydrated and I really love the color of it called “Je Na Sais Quoi”. It has a rosy tint to it and sometimes I just wear it by itself. This product retails for $20 at Ulta or you can purchase at QVC and The Shopping Channel.
The Vitality Lip Flush Butter Gloss in News Anchor Blue is infused with blue micro crystals that’s made to counteract yellow in your teeth to give you a brighter and whiter smile. It’s an ultra hydrating lip gloss infused with oils and butters, which also works together to minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles in your lips.
This particular lip gloss does not give you the sticky tacky feeling that some traditional lip glosses give you. I wore this lip gloss over lipstick and it really gives you a good rich shine and it actually does make your teeth appear whiter. The Vitality Lip Flush Butter Gloss in News Anchor Blue is a new product at Ulta and it retails for $24 at Ulta as with all of the other It Cosmetics products this product can be purchased at QVC and The Shopping Channel.

Below are swatches of all products listed above
One thing that I love about products by Jamie Kern of It Cosmetics is that all of her beauty accessories and cosmetics are paraben and cruelty free! Go to your local Ulta store and check out It Cosmetics on the “High End” side of the store. I promise you won’t be disappointed by any of their products!
